According to WoW's main page, the winners of the lottery have been sent their notification on the 27th of August. No email in my Inbox from Blizz so 1 account down.

Raid Scheduling
ah the duties of a guild leader...
firstly, i understand that you all have work, school, life, and a g/f or wife to agro
secondly, doing in game content is more fun than level, honor, or rep grinding... well to most people
thirdly, i would like to know what night still works best for doing in game content/raids
Some raids like ZA we may only need like 1 night to get to maybe 2-3 bosses, hopefully 4 since it is a much smaller instance. But raids like Karazhan, at our current rate we can take 80% on the first night with exception to maybe 2-3 bosses... so this will take more time to run or be split on separate days. With that in mind, some places we need to start early or be on time as close as possible, prepped with heal/mana potions, reagents and such. Post below your preferred nights and availalbility. Hopefully we can do this consistently, but understandably can take a break or do it on alternating weeks.

With the release of Wrath of the Lich King approaching, we wanted to provide you with some important information. In preparation for the expansion, we will be issuing a new content patch in the coming weeks. Much like the patch made available shortly before The Burning Crusade's release, this content patch is designed to bridge current game content with that of the expansion and will contain some exciting changes and additions.
We have outlined some of the larger features scheduled to release with the patch below:
New class spells and talents
Stormwind Harbor
Barbershops in capital cities
Zeppelin towers outside of Orgrimmar and Tirisfal Glades
Two brand-new Arenas featuring challenging new layouts, terrain hazards, and moving obstacles
Guild calendar
Hunter pet skill revamp
New profession: Inscription
As mentioned above, this is not a comprehensive list, just some of the major highlights. We’ll post the full patch notes as soon as they’re available. Regarding Inscription, please note that all Burning Crusade players will be able to select Inscription as one of their two professions and level up to a skill level of 375 with it. Upon the release of Wrath of the Lich King, players who purchase and install the expansion will be able to continue leveling in Inscription and the other professions beyond 375.
Secondly, Arena points WILL BE WIPED OUT ONCE YOU LEVEL PAST 70, no carry over. (source)

We want to provide some information about the direction of the Arena system. Upon the release of Wrath of the Lich King, players will find they are still able to access the Arena system at level 70 for rated matches. Those competing in the Arenas at 70 will still be able to attain items using Arena points and rankings; however, we do not currently plan to offer new items or titles for this bracket. Players who level past 70 will have their Arena points reset to 0 and be removed from all Arena teams in the level-70 bracket.
Two new skirmish brackets (71-75, 76-80) will be available for players who wish to hone their Arena skills while leveling in Northrend. Those who reach level 80 will once again have the opportunity to create new Arena teams and play in rated matches once a new season starts. New items, titles, and end-of-season rewards will be offered to the most successful teams at level 80. Additionally, the sets released for the Arenas in Wrath of the Lich King will no longer share aesthetic similarities with tiered raiding gear. We want those equipped with the best PvP rewards and those with the best raiding sets to stand out from each other. Players at level 80 will also have the opportunity to compete in two new Arenas featuring challenging new layouts, terrain hazards, and moving obstacles.

Blizzcon ticket lottery information

- To be eligible for the BlizzCon ticket drawing, you must (1) have an active Blizzard Account that was created on or before 9:00 p.m. PDT on Tuesday, August 12, 2008, when we first announced BlizzCon 2008 tickets had sold out; (2) be an adult in your country of residence; (3) have not previously purchased BlizzCon 2008 tickets; and (4) live in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Denmark, the Netherlands, or South Korea.

The opt-in period begins on Wednesday morning and will end the evening of Sunday, August 24. As this is a random drawing, those who opt in early will not have a better chance of being selected than those who opt in later.

Something fun to doooooo...
I'm not sure who else read BRK's blog beside myself and Brent but there is an up coming fun event hosted on Argent Dawn server (RP-PVE) that I would encourage people to do if they wana have fun with the WoW community.

Once in a while BRK host these thing where people just meet up on a chosen server at the appointed time and do fun and crazy thing, in this case the Biggest (hopefully) scavenger hunt.

OK... seeing as the in-game MOTD may be have "delays" in getting updated. I'm compiling an e-mail list. It will not be used for spamming, but more along the lines of organizing guild events. I will continue (or at least try) to post messages on the blog about future raids and events. ZA revisited
I'm throwing the idea of trying ZA (Zul'Aman) again. We got to the first boss first time, though we could not quite take the 2nd & 3rd one. Hopefully this time around we'll get further and have fun with this next run.

How are the weekends?
I was wondering how many people we would get for Kara on Friday night, Saturday (afternoon or night), or Sunday (afternoon or night).
Unlike me some of you do have social lives so I realize the weekends might be bad for WoW... hehe.

BlizzCon 2008 Announced
Back by popular demand, and now with 50% more hall space for your convention- going enjoyment, BlizzCon officially returns to the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA, on October 10–11. Join us for another epic celebration -- meet your guildmates and fellow gamers from around the world; spend some quality time with current and upcoming Blizzard games; and partake in the contests, tournaments, and developer discussion panels that make up BlizzCon. Despite rubbing elbows with the weirder percentage of the world's population, we had a pretty good time out there... got some great info on future development, got to play the Starcraft 2 demo, and got to Ebay (not I) some free items for a nice fee. We plan on going again this Oct and buy tickets as soon as they go on sale... they will sell out fast. Check it out... consider it... don't be left out without a Murlock suit to sell (or whatever it is this year).

March Karazhan
First off, good showing at the ZA run, did well for a first run through. Got first boss, we can probably take the 2nd boss next time around.
Second, my apologies for being rather silent these past few weeks. School has really been kicking my butt. If you guys want to run anything, feel free to let me or any of the guild officers know and we'll try to plan something. You guys don't have to wait for me to say anything to plan something... I want this to be your guild as much as it is the senior officers.

ZA... are you prepared?
So... it was broght to my attention from Mike (Kyron) that we should try ZA... and I thought, why not. We've done Karazhan quite a bit, and we can get through most of the bosses. Time to mix it up and try something new (not that we're gonna stop trying Kara). I've only ran it once and it seems like a short instance... just some pretty insane bosses. So we can possibly just run it in 1 night instead of breaking it down into two.

Karazhan Bingo
A coworker who plays Alliance on a PVE server (boo!) sent me this today. I thought it was quite funny, and that several of the squares apply to our runs.

Second half Karazhan - 2/10/2008
I've posted the logs from this Saturday's Kara run, and this time the two files (Phong and I) were able to be merged.

That site contains both runs from this week, and will continue to expand as we add more logs in the future. WowWebStats is a neat site - it sets all this stuff up automagically.
Excellent run, especially with the Prince clear. This one page was a bit of a concern, though: http://wowwebstats.com/ktqpdi4bxvdrw?a=34#break. Nobody was hitting the demon chains? Good thing we were still able to clear him!

First half Karazhan - 2/5/2008
I've uploaded our stats from the first half of Karazhan. Phong and I both ran our combat logs the whole time, but unfortunately the two logs could not be merged. Apparently one of us was lagging for portions of the instance, and this caused enough corresponding lines to have mis-matched times that the parsing client got befuddled.
It's not a big deal, but the stats are more accurate when more files are merged because the range on the combat log is not infinite. If people really appreciate these stats, in the future we should consider having more people record their logs: at least one melee, healer, and ranged DPS.

Kara Keyed
We have quite a few people as well as characters who just reached the glorious level 70 and is anxious to get in on the Kara fun. Please indicate where you are in the keying process (don't worry if you haven't started) and available evenings where we can possibly knock it out. Also, if you aren't honored w/ the different factions, I recommend getting there and the keys so we can start running heroics with you and get you some PURPLEZ =)
